Christmas in July · Warm from the oven
Artisan bread, honest pastry, and specialty coffee, something warm waiting for you all day in the Chilterns.

Cake
A yeasted cake with cream and a nutty glaze. Daniel's favourite of the cakes, and one that rewards patience.
Savoury
No sauce to hide behind, no trick of seasoning. Daniel's stated favourite of the pies, and what he stakes his morning on.
Bread
Less forgiving than white. The bran cuts the gluten and the crumb closes up if you rush it. One of Daniel's two favourite breads.
“The bun dough is very special; very soft, very moist.” Daniel, Cafe Reporter, April 2026
In historic Chiltern, our little bakery opens its doors before dawn. The smell of fresh bread, warm butter, and freshly ground coffee drifts down Conness Street every single morning, a quiet signal that something good is on its way. We bake everything by hand, with patience and a love for the craft we’ve practised since 2007. Come in, pull up a chair, and let us feed you well.

Every loaf is shaped by hand and baked on a stone deck. You get a caramelised crust, open crumb, and the kind of texture that keeps a slice good through the afternoon. Wholegrain and plain white come out of the oven before the town wakes up. The simplest food, made with complete devotion.

From the first flat white of the morning to an afternoon cold brew, every cup is a considered one. We roast our own seasonal espresso blend and rotate single-origins on batch brew weekly, there's always something new to taste. Pair it with a warm pastry for the full Chiltern experience.

For a boardroom morning tea or an intimate celebration, we put the same care into every platter as we do into every loaf. Fresh pastries, artisan breads, savoury pies, and custom cakes, all assembled the morning of your event. Just give us 48 hours notice and we'll take care of the rest.
